To better the lives of both short- and long-term residents we serve, Jones-Harrison has an active, in-house therapy center offering physical, occupational and speech therapy services.
The occupational, physical and speech therapists at Jones-Harrison are experienced in working with a variety of diagnoses including cerebro-vascular accidents (stroke), joint replacements, Parkinson’s Disease, arthritis, fractures, cardiac conditions, diabetes, neurological disorders and much more. Because we provide such comprehensive care, our patients include short- and long-term care residents, assisted living residents and community members.
As an on-site program, Jones-Harrison’s therapists offer more patient interaction, consistency of care and a deeper knowledge of patient and family needs. This means patients get to know their provider, and sessions are one-on-one and individualized for each patient.
We offer a progressive rehabilitative space that resembles everyday living to help foster independence. This unique area is fully equipped with a functional kitchen, bedroom, bathroom (including a bath tub) and living room area to practice real-life transition of skills. Private treatment rooms are also available.
To enhance overall care, therapists may refer clients to other on-site resources, including The Wasie Wellness Center or Arthritis Resources. This gives all clients access to state-of-the-art strength-training equipment and a warm-water therapy pool.
Patients in short-term rehab often continue their therapy as an outpatient. This provides a continuous level of care with the same therapist.
Physical therapists provide skilled intervention to help the client manage movement dysfunction, build strength and mobility, improve balance and safety and reduce pain.
Occupational therapists assist clients in improving their daily living skills and restoring maximum level of independence.
Speech therapists provide assistance in communication and swallowing.

Warm-water Therapy Pool
Our 600-square-foot pool is set at a comfortable 92°. The warm water relaxes muscles and relieves tension, and the buoyancy relieves pressure on joints, which is great for arthritis therapy. It is also a safe, effective and enjoyable environment for walking, strengthening and balance activities.
Strengthening & Fitness Center
Strength training and cardiovascular exercise is important at any age, and The Wellness Center has just the right equipment. Our treadmills have slow, smooth starting speeds and large, easy-to-use control panels. We have a wheelchair accessible upper- and lower-body cycle machine. And our state-of-the-art strengthening machines have enclosed weight stacks and electronic seat adjustments to make them safe, non-intimidating and user-friendly.
