When You Can’t Be a Poet, Be the Poem!

Catching up on a couple of weeks of poetry gatherings.  We talked about summery things, and Rachel inspired our poem writing by sharing wonderful herbs and flowers from her garden.  We enjoyed a poem from Walt Whitman yesterday, May 31st, on what would have been Walt’s 99 birthday.  And then our second group in memory care wrote about birds and flight inspired by the Maya Angelou poem, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings”.
