Covid-19 Update 4-27-2020

April 27, 2020

Dear Family Members and Friends,

The staff would like to thank all the families who are giving them words of support during this time. After staff talk with families, they relay back to me how supportive and appreciative families are for the care we are providing. Your words of kindness really do touch our hearts and help fuel our mission to serve!

Today, Monday, we have the following update: The care center currently has five residents with positive cases of COVID-19 and one resident test pending. We now have had six residents pass away since the beginning of the virus at Jones-Harrison Residence. Our staff ask for everyone to lift those families in prayers of support and comfort.

The Assisted Living now has one positive case of COVID-19. MDH has been notified and assigned the AL their own case manager to assist with next steps. Staff are working with them on infection control measures and have been trained already on proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment. This will be additional PPE on top of the current masks. Residents continue to follow isolation in their apartments.

Staffing at the care center now has four positive cases, who are isolated at home. The staffing on Assisted Living has one positive case, who is also on isolation at home.

I hope you also follow us on Facebook to see how we are working to keep residents engaged, happy, and cared for. Our residents are family to us, and our hearts are in a constant state of wanting to serve them the best we can. We work to stay positive for the residents and to make sure they know how much we care about them. We are grateful that we have the opportunity to serve them!
