Covid-19 Update 4-29-2020

April 29, 2002

Dear Family & Friends,

Gratitude is a powerful word and action. Melody Beattie states, “Gratitude turns what we have into enough.” We are grateful for your kind words, prayers, and donations to help support our residents and staff. Thank you from everyone at Jones-Harrison Residence.

Starting next week we will be changing our schedule and sending out updates on Mondays and Thursdays at 4:00 p.m. We feel that because we have not seen much change, moving to two days a week will be adequate. If circumstances warrant, we will communicate right away and increase our communications again.

We had a family member ask for numbers in a different format, so we are trying this new chart. We want to make sure we are communicating clearly to everyone. Please know we continue to work closely with MDH on our strategy to prevent spread and move in a positive direction.

Positive Cases Negative Cases Passed Pending Resident Positive Staff
Care Center 5 1 6 0 4
Assisted Living 1 1 0 1 1

Lastly, there have been many articles in the newspapers about assisted living and care centers and their challenges to contain this virus. We urge you to call your state representative and ask them to prioritize senior living for needed PPE and increased testing for our residents and staff. Follow this link to find your representative’s contact information. We, along with all senior care providers, are doing our best with the resources we currently have. Adding your voice alongside ours will help legislators understand how important these things are to keep everyone at Jones-Harrison safe. Thank you for all you continue to do to help!

Sincerely,

Annette Greely, President/CEO
