Malidoma Some Shares His Insights

We were honored to have Dr. Malidoma Some present the final lecture in the New Aging, Whole Living, Meaningful Life lecture series that Jones-Harrison sponsored along with the Continuum Center and Pathways Health Crisis Resource Center.  He presented to an audience of nearly 200 people at the Women’s Club in Minneapolis, then shared his experiences from his Dagara tribe in West Africa with the residents of Jones-Harrison.  Highly educated with 3 Masters degrees and 2 PhDs from Brandeis University and the Sorbonne in Paris, he spoke in stories about how the elders in his tribe are overrun by the children looking to learn from them.  This unique perspective also was presented to foster further collaborative opportunities in the final Leadership Luncheon held with area business leaders and representatives from Jones-Harrison residents and leadership. Jones-Harrison Residents Hit the Town

It doesn’t matter that the weather has turned colder.  Jones-Harrison residents are still on the move – we just find interesting indoor trips like to the Museum of Russian Art or Sea Life at the Mall of America. And if you pose by a Christmas Tree at MOA, you might get a visit from a jolly man from the North Pole!
