According to the National Endowment for the Arts’ Office of Research and Analysis, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, individuals who practice the arts as they age require fewer doctor visits, less medication, have higher morale, exhibit reduced rates of depression, and can stimulate the brain in areas that Alzheimer’s, for example, does not reach.
For 15 years, Jones-Harrison has provided enriching arts programming that builds community, improves health and quality of life, and supports emotional well-being for our residents. Between our Assisted Living and Nursing Homes, Jones-Harrison provides arts programming to 140 residents.
The expansion of our arts programming will broaden opportunities for residents to grow their sense of accomplishment, self-worth, and connection beyond COVID-19 in an accessible and individualized way. Your support of Jones-Harrison will make it possible for our arts programming to bloom, and grow even more opportunities for residents to experience and create art.
Your donation will enrich the lives of Jones-Harrison residents.
