Support Jones-Harrison’s Mission

If you know Jones-Harrison, you know that we are  dedicated to continuing our century-long tradition of offering innovative programs and supportive services to older adults in a loving, gracious setting.

What you might not know is this: We are a non-profit organization offering 24-hour skilled nursing care, assisted living apartments and comprehensive rehabilitation services, known for our innovative programs for memory-loss and arthritis care.

Our longevity and stability are due in large part to acts of giving by members of our community. More than 150 volunteers assist on-site annually. And every resident receives the benefits of outside giving.

In order to continue to meet the needs of our residents and community members, Jones-Harrison depends on generous donors like you to help us continue our mission of Honoring the Full Circle of Life. All contributions great and small help us to continue to honor our mission and promote senior wellness, dignity and independence.

To make a tax-deductible gift,  call 612-925-7265, send your gift to 3700 Cedar Lake Ave, Minneapolis, MN, 55416 or click here to make a donation online using your credit or debit card.

Thank you for supporting the community at Jones-Harrison!

Unforgettable: Short Stories

Looking for a great summer read?

“Unforgettable: Short Stories,” written by Minneapolis author and friend of Jones-Harrison Paulette Bates Alden, is a collection of short stories detailing “the presence of the past, the power of mercy, and the enduring nature of love. They follow Miriam Batson, the protagonist of Paulette Alden’s earlier collection, FEEDING THE EAGLES, into middle age, as she navigates such experiences as the suicide attempt of a student of hers; the death of a beloved maid from her Southern childhood; the shock and anger resulting from a job rejection possibly due to sex discrimination; and the sudden death of her father.

Five of the stories track Miriam’s efforts to stave off putting her mother in a nursing home, as her mother succumbs to Alzheimer’s. Anyone who has experienced such a situation will relate to the poignancy, guilt, and sometimes painful humor involved in caring for a failing parent.”
