Jones-Harrison offers a comprehensive Transitional Care Unit if you’ve recently had a hospital stay but aren’t quite ready to return home. Our experienced nursing and rehabilitation professionals bridge the gap between hospital and home by providing short-term transition services to expedite healing. Our therapists work with various conditions, including joint replacements, arthritis, orthopedic repair, cardiopulmonary conditions, diabetes, and more.
Transitional Care Unit Options Include:
- Total Joint Replacement program therapy twice a day, seven days a week
- Physical therapy includes transfer training and mobility techniques, balance assessment and treatment, and ambulation training with a partial body weight system
- Occupational therapy, including VitalStim Therapy, to help with neuromuscular issues
- Speech therapy
- Lymphedema therapy
- Specialty arthritis care including hot and cold packs, massage, and paraffin treatments
- State-of-the-art Wasie Wellness Center to enhance care during and after therapy
